For the 2013/2014 season, Dunlop upgraded their most powerful closed-throat squash racket, the Biomimetic Elite, into the new GTS series. The frame is now thinner and more streamlined (see the second video below) to increase the head speed a bit and also one cross string has been removed which adds a little more power.

On the other hand, it still uses the Biomimetic technologies like Aeroskin CX (faster drag through the air), BioFibre (enhanced stiffness) and MoS2 grommets.

The old and new versions feel almost the same and the idea behind this racquet also remained unaltered – to offer a good balance of power and control, more toward power when compared to the Dunlop Ultimate (which is very similar, just focused more on control due to its denser string pattern).

And players reflect that in the reviews – they enjoy the racquet, talk about being able to play really powerful shots with surprisingly good control and accuracy. It’s an ideal choice for an all-round playing style, switching between vigorous strokes and very precise technical game – the head light balance helps with this as well. Only a few users mentioned mentioned that the frame vibrates a bit uncomfortably.
