Reviews:
The Evolution 130 is the newer, upgraded version of the popular Aerogel 4D Evolution 120 and a sister racket of the lighter Biomimetic Evolution 120. Its trademark, the teardrop head shape with a small bridge at the throat, stayed the same, only 10 g has been added to its weight and the head size is now 490 sq cm. Also, in the 2013 version, the balance shifted from head-light to even to add even more power.
What’s important is that the playing capabilities of this squash racket stayed the same and were even slightly improved by the new biomimetic technologies – BioFibre for reducing shockwaves on ball impact, AeroSkin for better aerodynamic properties and therefore faster swings and the MoS2 Grommets – using a microscopic lubricant to improve grommet durability and reduce string friction.
It is still very light, quick and maneuverable and generates great power while still offering good control. Perfect for volleys and fast, attacking style, taking the ball to the middle of the court – that’s why it remained Nick Matthew’s racket of choice.
The 10 g added seems like a good idea, it makes the racket more usable for an average squash player. Also, many users reported they like the 2013 version more.
